Our July 1 Lunch & Discover at Vine Books & Vinyl was another fantastic afternoon celebrating everything that makes Downtown Shreveport unique! Guests enjoyed live music from saxophonist Eddie Spencer, a delicious tasting table from Fat Tuesday’s, fresh produce from Robertson Produce, and a fun liquid nitrogen ice cream demonstration from Sci-Port that was as entertaining as it was delicious.
Attendees also heard from special guest Dr. Charles Vincent, who shared insights on the 50th anniversary of his groundbreaking book, Black Legislators in Louisiana During Reconstruction. The event also featured Downtown updates, networking opportunities, and our popular Lunch On Us and Shop On Us prize drawings.
One of the highlights of every Lunch & Discover is the opportunity to showcase and support our Downtown businesses. Through our Lunch On Us and Shop On Us coupons, attendees are encouraged to explore local restaurants and retailers, helping strengthen our downtown economy while discovering new favorite spots.
